What is PORTAL? A funnel-shaped real-time EC, temperature sensor.

What is EC? The EC meter has long been used as a concentration sensor, but it is not the same as TDS. We use EC (electrical conductivity) to estimate the real-time concentration of flowing coffee because typical TDS sensors cannot do this. While EC and TDS are not identical, their ratio is very similar, allowing us to estimate TDS concentration changes through PORTAL.

What is it for? A coffee brew profiler, serving the same purpose as a roasting profiler. It can be used for purposes such as self-training, brew quality checks, and the most detailed recipe recording and sharing, for both espresso and pour-over.
